Technology Keeps Changing. We Are Here to Help You Keep Up.

Our mission is simple. No one should feel left behind because of a screen.

Why We Started Friendly Fix

Every year there is a new phone, a new app or a new password to remember. The doctor's office wants you to use an online portal. The grandchildren share photos in a group chat. The bank closes the branch down the street and moves everything online.

It is a lot. And it is not your fault that it feels hard. Most of these tools were not made with you in mind.

Too often the answer is "ask your children." But family is busy, and nobody likes to feel like a bother. Some people stop asking. They miss the video call, skip the online appointment or click on something they should not have.

We started Friendly Fix to change that. We want every older adult in Canada to have one kind, patient person they can call. Someone who listens, goes at their pace and never makes them feel silly for asking.

When you hang up the phone, we want you to feel more sure of yourself than when you picked it up. That is the whole job.

What We Believe

Patience Comes First

We never rush. We will explain it again, and again after that, if that is what you need.

Plain Words Work Best

No tech talk. If we use a new word, we tell you what it means.

Your Device, Your Choice

We only connect when you say yes. You can watch everything we do.

Asking Is Smart

There is no silly question. Everyone has to learn these things at some point.

Family Should Be Family

When we handle the tech, your visits can be about the grandchildren, not the printer.

Independence Matters

Our goal is to help you do things on your own, not to keep you needing us.

Meet Rose and Walter

Rose and Walter are drawings, but their questions come from real life. You will see them around our site sharing tips.

Drawing of Rose, an older woman with grey hair in a bun and glasses

Rose

Rose loves video calls with her grandchildren and keeps her passwords in a notebook by the phone. She is our scam spotter.

Drawing of Walter, an older man with short grey hair, glasses and a moustache

Walter

Walter reads the news on his tablet every morning. He likes to know how things work and always has a question ready.
